R&D Project: Research on Collecting Wood Vinegar During Biomass Carbonization for Biochar Production

Uses and Benefits of Wood Vinegar

Wood vinegar offers a wide range of applications thanks to its natural antibacterial, antifungal, insect-repellent, soil-improving, and deodorizing properties. It helps suppress soil-borne fungi, plant pathogens, and harmful pests such as aphids and red mites. In agriculture, wood vinegar can be used as a foliar fertilizer to stimulate plant growth. It is also effective for reducing odors in animal barns, trash bins, and for repelling mosquitoes.

In Agriculture and Gardening

Pest and disease control:

Wood vinegar helps eliminate fungal diseases (such as powdery mildew and leaf spot), suppress larvae, and repel harmful insects including aphids, red mites, and beetles.

Soil improvement:

It promotes the growth of beneficial microorganisms, helps balance soil pH, and increases soil fertility.

Plant stimulation:

When diluted properly, it enhances plant vigor, accelerates growth, increases leaf production, and improves both yield and fruit quality.

Note: Wood vinegar should always be diluted with water at an appropriate ratio and applied in the late afternoon to avoid leaf burn.

In Livestock Farming and Sanitation

Deodorizing:
It effectively absorbs and reduces foul odors in livestock barns and poultry houses.

Disinfection:
Wood vinegar can be used to sanitize waste areas, slaughterhouse surroundings, and help prevent certain respiratory-related diseases in animals.

Digestive improvement:

When mixed with feed in small amounts, it supports better digestion and reduces odor from animal waste.

Other Applications

Insect repellent:

Its natural scent helps repel mosquitoes, flies, and ants from living spaces.

Odor removal:

It can be sprayed directly onto kitchen cabinets, trash bins, and similar areas to eliminate unpleasant smells. We are currently in the research and testing phase, and the experimental results will be published as soon as we complete our small-scale production model.

We are always open to cooperation and long-term growth with our partners.
